It’s well-known that some of Tinseltown’s best-known players are not averse to indulging in their narcotic of choice when the spirit moves them. And for some of them, the spirit appears to move them rather frequently. In a glossy presentation available online entitled “Heroin Addicts, Coke Fiends & Celebrity Stoners — Hollywood Drug Dealers Tell All!”, the tell-all team at Radar Online discusses the indulgences of certain stars based on the reminiscences of their dealers. Keep in mind that these sources are probably not to be entirely trusted but it does make for interesting reading:
Lindsay Lohan
“Mean Girls” is one of my favorite kids’ movies. I probably watched it half-a-dozen times with one of my daughters when she was of the age when she still liked watching movies with her dad. We also watched “The Parent Trap” at least three or four times so my initial take on Lindsay Lohan was quite positive. Therefore, I felt bad when it became obvious that she was struggling mightily with life and that drugs were apparently a big part of her problem. Recent reports, however, suggest that she may have finally cleaned up her act.
- Lindsay Lohan spent at least $15,000 on drugs, according to a man who claims to have been her dealer.
- One man claiming to be Lindsay Lohan’s dealer says he eventually had to cut her off. “Lindsay wasn’t monitoring what she was taking …” he explained in an interview with Star. “I feared she would do a line of coke after some pills and then be dead.”
- Before heading to rehab this spring, Lindsay Lohan frequently “ordered [cocaine] and pills,” her alleged dealer, a man who calls himself David Joseph, recently told Star magazine. “Her favorite was Molly, MDMA, which was the extra pure pharmaceutical ecstasy.”
Brad Pitt
I remember watching Brad Pitt in “Thelma and Louise” like it was yesterday. His sudden powerful presence when he hooks up with Geena Davis reminds me of Jack Nicholson in “Easy Rider.” In both cases, it was obvious that “a star was born.”
- Brad Pitt has admitted to marijuana use, and one dealer who knew him in the early 90s told the National Enquirer, “You’d walk into his house and there were different grades of dope and lots of bongs and smoking paraphernalia sitting on a table.”
- Brad Pitt was also a regular customer at a drug paraphernalia shop called 2000BC, one source told the National Enquirer, and even once spent $1,500 on a dozen bongs as a gift to the cast and crew of a film he’d just finished.
Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie is certainly a striking woman and I imagine that she can be a handful at times. I suspect that Brad Pitt’s alleged regular marijuana intake helps him stay mellow when Angelina gets temperamental which is probably a good thing. I’m not that familiar with her films but I do think she did a good job as Winona Ryder’s psychotic nemesis in “Girl, Interrupted”.
- Angelina Jolie’s former drug dealer, Franklin Meyer, says he would meet Angelina two to three times a week to sell her drugs. He told Life & Style, “She would snort the heroin and cocaine in front of me.” According to Meyer, Angelina was so close to him that they would go out to eat and go shopping together. Meyer also claims that she did coke before doing a spaced-out, rambling interview on The Charlie Rose Show on January 14, 2000.
- According to an interview in Life & Style, there is apparently a videotape of Jolie discussing her love of S&M during a drug-filled rap session.
Charlie Sheen
I know virtually nothing about Charlie Sheen’s film work though I did see him in a slapstick military comedy — the name of which I do not recall.
- A man claiming to be Charlie Sheen’s drug dealer told investigative journalist Ian Halperin that he regularly delivered kilos of cocaine to the actor’s home. The man, “JR Smith,” passed a polygraph test, as RadarOnline.com reported.
- One dealer told the National Enquirer that in the late 90s, Charlie Sheen “had a psychotic break” and threatened to shoot himself in the head during “an all-night party at Charlie’s place in Malibu with lots of cocaine and booze.”
Whitney Houston
This is a tragic case and proves — as if proof were needed — that hard drugs can be extremely dangerous. Whitney Houston had a truly great voice before she destroyed it and herself with cocaine and alcohol. When I hear her old recordings, I still get the chills.
- One drug dealer told the National Enquirer that he traveled thirteen hours by train from Switzerland to bring Whitney Houston $6,000 of cocaine and Adderall before her concert in Copenhagen in June 2010.
- In September 2010, Whitney purchased $1,000 worth of cocaine before the Keep a Child Alive Black Ball in NYC, her former dealer told Star magazine. “She was high as hell at that black-tie event!”
- A man calling himself DJ claimed in Star magazine that he sold cocaine to Whitney Houston just hours before her death.
