According to Massachusetts investigators, Aaron Hernandez was captured by his own home surveillance cameras holding a large-caliber gun just minutes after the shooting of Odin Lloyd. Maybe he had a guilty conscience and wanted to incriminate himself. Not likely. Hernandez appears to have little conscience. More likely, he simply believed that he could get away with it. In any event, Hernandez handed law enforcement what looks to be a game-changing evidentiary nugget by filming himself with the gun a mere 10 minutes after he allegedly took part in the shooting of 27-year-old semi-professional football player.
Free Britney at Hollywod Gossip writes:
Aaron Hernandez was seen by his own home surveillance cameras holding a large-caliber gun just minutes after the murder he allegedly orchestrated.Prosecutors also found a spent .45 caliber shell casing in a car rented by the athlete matching five bullets found in the body of murder victim Odin Lloyd.
The investigators stated further:
“Aaron Hernandez is observed on the surveillance video moving the item believed to be a firearm between his hands as he passes through the living room.”
“Footage shows Aaron Hernandez pass through the living room area of the residence while holding an item, identified by investigators being consistent with a firearm.”
It is reported that the images were taken inside his home. Hernandez had 14 security cameras arranged throughout his $1.2 million North Attleboro, Mass., mansion. Although the prosecutors have stated that Hernandez tampered with the cameras, he was apparently not successful in deleting the images.
Lloyd was found less than a mile from Hernandez’s home in an industrial park. He had been shot five times with a .45 caliber handgun. Law enforcement has constructed the following timeline:
- A few hours before the June 16 slaying, Hernandez texted Lloyd: “I’m coming to grab that tonight. U gon b around I need dat and we could step for a little again.”
- Hernandez’s surveillance cameras reveal him leaving his home at 1:12 a.m. with two other men, who police have identified as Ernest Wallace, 41, and Carlos Ortiz, 27. Wallace has pleaded not guilty to an accessory charge. Ortiz was arrested on firearms charges. He has apparently not yet entered a plea.
- At 2:09 a.m., a security camera at a gas station in Boston showed Hernandez purchasing a cigar and Bubble Yum Cotton Candy flavored gum.
- 20 minutes later, the three men were seen picking up Odin Lloyd at his home.
- At 3:20 a.m., the silver sedan was observed driving into the industrial park, near Hernandez’s home, where Lloyd was killed. According to a search warrant:
“This vehicle entered the crime scene at 3:23 a.m. [June 17]. The time of this activity is consistent with the reports of employees at an adjacent business who heard gunshots.”
- The surveillance photos of Hernandez back in his house and holding what appears to be a pistol were taken at 3:33 a.m.
Hernandez was arrested on murder and weapons charges ten days later on June 26th and remains in solitary confinement at Bristol County Correctional Center in Dartmouth.
He is due back in court for a probable cause hearing on August 22.

The strength of the circumstantial evidence seems overwhelming. There is a visual record of all key events with the exception of the actual shooting. And as if this wasn’t bad enough, the Grand Jury is meeting to consider the possibility that Hernandez may have been involved in a 2012 double murder in Boston.
